SPEED TIP: TAKE OUT THE PAPERS AND THE TRASH

Want to empty the Trash without making a trip up to the Finder menu first? Then just click-and-hold (or Control-click) on the Trash icon in the Dock and choose Empty Trash. Of course, you could also press Command-Shift-Delete when the Finder is active, but how much fun is that? Incidentally, if you want to get something in the Trash in a hurry, just click on it, press Command-Delete, and that file will jump into the Trash lickety-split!
