iChat AV: MANAGING LOTS OF BUDDIES

If you're fairly popular with the iChat crowd (and my guess is you are, because only very cool people buy this book), you've probably got lots of buddies in your Buddy List, which means your life is filled with an awful lot of scrolling. But it doesn't have to be that way, because you can group related people together into Groups (just like you do with groups of people in Address Book). So, if you have a number of people you chat with from your office, you can have a Work Group, with all their buddy names appearing within a collapsible Group (which saves loads of space and scrolling time, and just generally makes your Buddy List easier on the eyes). To create a Buddy Group, first go under the View menu, and choose Use Groups. Then click-and-hold on the plus (+) sign in the bottom-left corner of the Buddy List window, and choose Add Group from the menu that appears. Next, give your new Group a name, and then in the Buddy List window drag-and-drop any buddies you want included into this Group.
