iPhoto: DUMP THE SHADOW

You know that little drop shadow that appears behind your thumbnail images in the iPhoto window? If it gets on your nerves, you can ditch it by pressing Command, (that's the Comma key) to bring up iPhoto's Preferences. In the Preferences dialog, click on the Appearance icon, and then click on the Drop Shadow checkbox to turn it off. If you like, you can replace the shadow effect with a thin black (or white, depending on your Background color) border around the thumbnail of your photo by turning on the Outline checkbox.
