CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DOUBLE-CLICK A TITLE BAR

Back in OS 9, you could double-click on a window's title bar, and that window would "roll up," leaving just the window's title bar visible. In OS X, this roll-up feature has been replaced by "minimizing to the Dock," so if you double-click on a window's title bar, it minimizes that window to the Dock. If you want to minimize all your open windows, Option-double-click on any title bar. As cool as this sounds, this "double-click-to-minimize" feature drives some people crazy, because they're constantly minimizing windows when they just meant to move them. If that sounds like you, go to the System Preferences, under Appearance, and turn off Minimize when Double Clicking a Window Title Bar.
