Font Panel: SEEING YOUR FONTS BEFORE YOU USE THEM

Apple has heard your plaintive cries, and finally they've included a preview of your fonts so you can actually see what they look like before you decide which one to use. You access this new wonder of modern science in any application that uses Mac OS X's built-in Font panel (apps such as TextEdit, Stickies, Mail, etc.). Press Command-T to bring up the Font panel. When it appears, click on the Actions pop-up menu at the bottom of the panel and choose Show Preview. A font preview pane will appear at the top of the dialog, and as you click on different fonts, their previews will appear in that pane. It also works for type style and font sizes.
