Stickies: TURN YOUR SELECTION INTO A STICKY

If you've selected some text in a Mac OS X application such as TextEdit (a phone number, Web address, etc.), you can turn that selected text into a Sticky in one click. Just go under the TextEdit menu, under Services, and choose Make New Sticky Note. Stickies will launch and open a new note with your selected text. The keyboard shortcut for this automation is Command-Shift-Y.
