iCal: SETTING YOUR ALARM TO PLAY A SONG

Why just have an annoying alert sound as your iCal alarm, when you can have it play your favorite song as your alarm? It's easy. All you have to do is click on the event you want to set an alarm for, then in the Info panel, click-and-hold on the word "None" that appears to the immediate right of the word "Alarm." In the pop-up menu that appears, choose Open File. This puts the entry Open File in that field, but it adds a new field directly below it. Click on that field and choose Other. Then, in the standard Open dialog that appears, navigate to the song you want played as your alarm (I use the 1980s club mix of Kano's "I'm Ready"), then click the Select button. In the bottom field, choose when you want the alarm (the song) to "go off." That's itwhen your alarm goes off, you get the jams!
