MISSED A MESSAGE? MAYBE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN BOLD

That little blue dot that lets you know that you've got a new mail message is easy to miss (especially if you're used to another email application where new messages appear in bold). If that's the case, you can have Mail display new messages in bold as well. Just go to Mail's Preferences (found under the Mail menu) and under Viewing, turn on the checkbox for Display Unread Message with Bold Font. From now on, any unread messages will be displayed in bold, which makes it even easier to quickly find which messages haven't been read.
