TURN THEIR WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

Annoyance Factor 8: What would you do if you turned on your PowerBook one day and the entire screen was sideways, with the menu bar on the far left side of your screen, and everything else was turned sideways? Your hard disk, icons, everythingkind of like picking up your monitor and turning it on its side? Well, as it turns out, this hidden feature of Mac OS X Tiger adds a wonderful new prank opportunity. Now, chances are likely that you'll have no actual use for this feature in your everyday life, but turning a friend's or co-worker's screen on its side may become something you'll start doing quite often. Here's how it's done: Go to the System Preferences under the Apple menu (or in the Dock), press-and-hold the Option key, then click on Displays. When the Display preferences appear, you'll see a Rotate pop-up menu. So basically, choose the direction you want the screen to go (90°, 180°, or 270°). Try 180° if you want to turn their world upside down. This works with most PowerBooks, and I can tell you from personal experience that trying to get it set back to Standard using a trackpad can be surprisingly challenging.
