SENDING TEXT MESSAGES VIA BLUETOOTH

If your Mac has Bluetooth, and you've got a paired Bluetooth cellular phone nearby, you can send text messages using your Mac's keyboard (rather than those miniature keys on your cell phone's number pad). Just go to the Address Book application, and find the person you want to send your text message to. You see the word "Mobile" that appears before their cell number? Click-and-hold directly on that and from the contextual menu that appears, choose Send SMS Message. Now it's time to start typin', enter their number, and hit send, and it will use your phone to send the message. Note: This may not work on all Bluetooth-enabled phones, as it depends on the make and model of your cell phone, and whether the phone receiving the message can accept SMS messages.
