The next time you're ready to close Dashboard (you close it by clicking on anything or anywhere other than a widget), and you're not working on a tight deadline or trying to get ahead in life, try this: Hold the Shift key, then click on something other than a widget. This closes Dashboard using a super slow-motion effect with your widgets slowly zooming toward you. Also, try this "holding-the-Shift-key" trick when closing an individual widget and you get a pretty cool slo-mo effect there as well. Here's another: Try holding Shift when opening or closing the Widget Bar. (I particularly like the way the plus-sign-in-a-circle rotates as the Bar appears. I never noticed it did that at regular speed.) So why did Apple include slo-mo effects in Dashboard? Because they know we just love stupid crap like that. |
