SAVING TIME IN SAVE AS, PART 1

Here's a fairly wild Mac OS X tip for saving a file (this is a great one to show at parties. Well, at least parties where there are lots of Mac-heads). If you're going to save a document and you can see the folder on your drive where you want to save it (it's in a Finder window or on your desktop), in the Save As dialog, expand the Column view by clicking on the blue button with the down-facing triangle next to the Save As field. Then you can actually drag-and-drop the folder that you want to save your document into from the desktop or Finder window to one of the columns in your Save As dialog. This is one of those things you have to try once yourself, but once you do, you'll use it again and again to save time when saving documents.
