When you're in the Save As dialog and you want to save a file to the desktop, just press Command-D and the "Where" pop-up menu will switch to Desktop, so all you have to do is name your file and click OK. Another alternative is saving in the Documents folder (like the OS really wants you to), so get to your Home folder by pressing Command-Shift-H, and Home (which is your user folder) will appear as your destination. Now just click on the Documents folder in the window. |
