CHOOSING WHICH FOLDERS TO SEARCH

When you do a Spotlight search using the Search field that appears at the top-right corner of Finder windows, a row of buttons appears that lists some one-click choices of where you'd like to search. But what if the hard disk or folder you want doesn't appear as one of those buttons? Just click the Others button and a menu will pop down of other folders and drives you can search. This is great for limiting your search to just one folder. To do just that, click on the plus (+) button in the bottom-left corner of this dialog and navigate your way to the folder you want to search. This folder will appear in your Others menu from now on (unless you click on it and click the minus [] button, of course).
