CAN'T PAINT ON A LAYER? HERE'S WHYIf you try and use one of Photoshop's paint tools to paint on a layer but Photoshop gives you the international symbol for "no you're not!", it's probably caused by one of two reasons: (1) You're trying to paint on a Type layer. Photoshop only allows one thing on Type layerstype! If you need to paint on a Type layer, you must first rasterize it (which converts it from an editable Type layer into a regular image layer). (2) The other reason is probably that the layer has been "locked" for painting. Look up in the top of the Layers palette and uncheck either the box that looks like a paintbrush or the one with the padlock (which Locks All). |
