Chapter Review

Configuring LAN interfaces with IP addresses is a fundamental task of any UNIX administrator. We have looked at key technologies that go beyond simply configuring the netconf file. DHCP is becoming more and more common, especially where remote users are logging in to our networks and need an IP configuration in order to function. We have looked at how DHCP affects the way we manage IP addresses, as well as the emergence of IPv6. Finally, we looked at trying to provide a networking nirvana of both High Availability and Performance utilizing APA. It's all in a day's work.
