Loading the CD Files

To load the files from the CD, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive. If autoplay is enabled on your machine, the CD-ROM setup program starts automatically the first time you insert the disc. You may copy the files to your hard drive or use them right off the disc, although if you use them directly off the disc, you won't be able to save your changes.

Note that this CD-ROM uses long and mixed-case filenames, requiring the use of a protected mode CD-ROM driver.

Exercise Files

This CD contains all the files you'll need to complete the exercises in Inside Flash . These files can be found in the root directory and are arranged by chapter. Each chapter folder has a corresponding Assets folder that contains both the starting Flash files, where appropriate, and the finished files for each exercise. This folder also contains any additional sound or image files that you need to complete the exercise. Several

ActionScript files (.as) also are included with some of the exercises on the CD. To make it easier for you to locate those for reuse, you'll find a folder at the root level named ActionsLibrary (in particular, you'll find the rewrite of the String Object and the WDDX Serializer/Deserializer there).
