Jim has spent over ten years working with database technology. He was the system architect of the ODBC 1.0 SQL Engine project for Microsoft Corporation, designing and developing a database engine capable of accessing Microsoft Access, BTrieve, DBase, FoxPro, and text format databases. He was the architect and designer of a multimedia database engine for Adobe. Jim is currently the System Architect at BlueStream Database Software Corporation, where he has designed and overseen implementation of the XStreamDB native XML database, a pure Java, multi-transactional, multi-threaded database engine with an XQuery front-end. He currently represents XML Global Technologies on the W3C XML Query Languages working group . |
