The status bar at the bottom of the Illustrator window has a Zoom menu and also displays a variety of information about your project or your selected tool.
On the far left of the status bar, the Zoom percentage pop-up menu allows you to define zoom levels. To the right of the Zoom menu is a customizable display.
By default, the status bar displays your selected tool. This can be changed to display date and time, free memory, the remaining number of undos and redos available, or the document color profile. You change the information displayed in the status bar by clicking on the existing information, which opens a pop-up menu with other display options.
