Thin-ClientServer Hardware: Form Follows Function

In Chapter 1, I described some different types of users and the tasks they need to perform and then recommended what devices they might use. (See the table on page 9 for this description of various user scenarios.) In this section, we ll look more closely at the available devices, from Windows-based terminals and personal computers to NetPCs, network computers, and hand-held computers.
