Most women (85 percent) are in permanent positions while 12 percent work on a contract basis, 2 percent are self-employed and 1 percent work part-time or on a freelance basis.
The woman overwhelmingly indicate that flexi-time, work-from-home and equal pay for equal work are very important, while reduced hours is not seen as important. Alarmingly, many women (72 percent) indicate that salaries of women are not on par with male colleagues.
Part-time positions are not attractive, with the respondents agreeing that women in part-time positions are exploited in terms of:
Less pay for harder work (78 percent)
Career advancement and/or promotion (85 percent)
Self-development and/or training (79 percent)
Fifty-five percent of the respondents indicated that they are willing to accept the above to have a more balanced life.
