In this chapter, we have covered one of the most significant functions of SMS 2.0—distributing and advertising packages and programs to clients. This function facilitates remote installation, updating, and maintenance of SMS client computers. However, SMS should be thought of as more than a delivery system. As we've seen, it is still your responsibility as the SMS administrator to create (and script, if necessary) the packages you distribute. Scripting an installation is a significant requirement for most organizations that want their client maintenance to be "hands-off" to the user.
