Removing a Dissolve

Although adding a dissolve is easy, removing or deleting a dissolve or transition is equally as easy. It's this flexibility of adding and removing transitions that makes digital editing so efficient.

To remove a dissolve from the Timeline, follow these steps:

1. Place your Position Indicator on or near the transition you want to remove.

2. Click on the Remove Effect button (see Figure 8.13).

3. The effect is removed.

4. You can also remove an effect by using the Trim mode.

5. Step into the Trim mode at the transition.

6. Press the Delete key on the keyboard. The effect will be deleted. This only works in the Trim mode.
