Chapter 16. Power Editing Tips

Warning! Don't read these power tips unless you're comfortable with the material presented in the past 15 chapters. The material in this chapter is a little too powerful if you're not yet comfortable with Avid Xpress Pro. These tips might seem simple on the surface, but I'll explain how they can save you time and effort and amaze your other editing friends .

I have personally used these tips and techniques in my everyday editing work, for students who attend an Avid authorized course and in numerous workshops I've presented throughout the Midwest. I'd love to give credit to those who showed me these tips or how I discovered them over the years but quite frankly, I can't remember. Again, don't be fooled by the simplicity of some of these tips and techniques.
