Adding Photos to the Gallery

Windows Photo Gallery automatically includes the photos in your Pictures folder, but you might have photos stored in other locations that you'd like to include in the Photo Gallery. You can either copy a photo or folder to your Pictures folder and thus to the Photo Gallery, or let the Gallery know where the folder containing the photos is located.

Copy a Photo or a Folder

With Photo Gallery open, open the folder that contains the folder or photo you want to add.

Drag the folder or photo onto the Gallery. The folder or photo is copied to your Pictures folder and added to the Gallery.

Include a Folder on Your Computer or Network

Click the File button, and choose Add Folders To Gallery from the drop-down menu to display the Add Folders To Gallery dialog box.

Specify the location of the folder.

Click OK.
