Viewing Multiple Web Pages

An important new feature in Internet Explorer is the ability it gives you to keep multiple Web pages open at the same time, each on its own tab. That way, you can leave a page open, open another page, and then easily and quickly move between pages.

View Different Web Pages

In Internet Explorer, click a tab to view that Web page.

Click the Quick Tabs button if you want to view all the open Web pages.

Click a Web page to switch to the tab for that Web page.

Tip

If you have only a couple of open tabs, you can simply click one tab to switch to it. To see a list of open tabs, click the down arrow next to the Quick Tabs button.

Clean Up the Tabs

With multiple Web pages open, right-click a tab, and, on the shortcut menu that appears, do either of the following:

  • Choose Close to close the Web page and the tab that you clicked.

  • Choose Close Other Tabs to close all the other Web pages and tabs except for the one you right-clicked.
