Using a Network Projector

A network projector is one that can display large images of your screen for items such as PowerPoint presentations or demonstrations. There are two main types of projector: a stand-alone projector that you connect to your computer by using cables or a wireless connection, and a network projector. The connection to a stand-alone projector is usually pretty straightforward, but Windows Vista has greatly simplified the sometimes complex connection to a network projector.

Connect

With your computer connected to the network that's hosting the projector, choose Connect To A Network Projector from the Start menu to start the Connect To A Network Projector Wizard.

Select the Search For A Projector (Recommended) option if you know that there aren't many projectors on the network or if you don't know the projector's address. Click the projector you want, click Next, and then provide the password for the projector.

If the search didn't find the projector and you know its address, click to enter the address.

Enter the assigned address.

Enter the assigned password.

Click Next, complete the wizard, and start using the projector.
