What Do You Need to Know Already?
This is not a beginner's book. To get the most out of this book, you must be comfortable with VB. Specifically, you should be an intermediate to advanced VB programmer who is comfortable with class structures, VB's event model, and COM. You do not need to know much about the Internet, although some knowledge of HTML will make it easier to read the code, build the projects, and understand the examples.
You should be familiar with relational databases, either Access or ODBC databases such as SQL Server. You should also be at least minimally familiar with ActiveX Data Objects (ADO); however, if you've worked only with Data Access Objects (DAO) or Remote Data Objects (RDO), you'll have few problems understanding the code.
