Customizing the AvantGo Module

There's no administration section for this module; it automatically pulls your most recent news stories and includes them in the AvantGo feed. You can customize three basic things: the graphical logo, your site name, and your site's URL (listed at the bottom of news story screens). All of these are configured in the basic site Preferences page, which I cover in Topic 6, "Configuring Site Preferences." Figure 11.3 shows this module, with values filled in for the AvantGo module.

I do recommend that you edit the AvantGo module (in the Modules Administration section) so that Visible in Modules Block is set to No. That way, the AvantGo module will be available to mobile users accessing your site, but it won't be readily available to users browsing your site from their PC. That way, users won't stumble across this less than attractive portion of your Web site; they'll read stories and articles right through the News module, as you intend for them to do.
