These options only back up or restore Forums-related data; using this option can sometimes be quicker than backing up the entire PHP-Nuke database. However, because the Forums are so tightly integrated into the rest of PHP-Nuke, there is some danger in restoring just the Forums data, so it doesn't make much sense to back up just the Forums data. I recommend that you check out Topic 43, "Backing Up Your Site and Database," for information on backing up and restoring the entire PHP-Nuke database, and I recommend that you do that instead of using the Forums module's Backup or Restore options. |
