Sending a Message

You can send messages to other Groove contacts at any time even if you or your contact are not online. If you or your contact are offline, Groove sends the message and alerts you of delivery, when it's opened, and when your contact replies as soon as you and your contact are online.

Send a Message

In Launchbar, click the Contacts tab.

Right-click a contact, and then click Send Message.

The Send Message window opens.

Timesaver

Press Shift-Shift to open a new instant message window or bring up your next unread instant message from your inbox.

Type a message.

Click Send.

An alert appears, indicating your message was sent. Monitor Groove alerts for more message status.

Receive and Reply to a Message

When a Groove alert appears, indicating you have received a message, click it.

Enter your reply to the message.

Click Send.

An alert appears, indicating your message was sent. Monitor Groove alerts for more message status.

When the original sender received back the message, the sender can Reply, Forward, or Close the message.
