Dealing with Groove Alerts

Groove alerts appear as blinking messages in the lower right corner of Windows. You can check for Groove alerts by resting the pointer on the Groove icon in the notification area. Groove alerts notify you about updates and work status. For example, Groove sends you an alert when someone accepts an invitation to a workspace, sends a message, changes an existing file or adds a new file. If you're getting more alerts than you want, you can set alert options in the Preferences dialog box.

Check for Groove Alerts

Look for a blinking message or Groove icon in the notification area.

Point to the Groove icon in the notification area to display the alert.

Click the alert to open Groove.

Set Alert Options

In the Launchbar, click the Options menu, and then click Preferences.

Click the Alerts tab.

Drag the slider to select an alert level:

  • Auto. Similar to the High alert level, but auto-dismissed ignored unread alerts.

  • High. Highlight unread content with an icon and display an alert for all unread content.

  • Medium. Highlight unread content with an icon.

  • Off. Don't display an alert for new or modified content.

Specify the number of days you want to keep unread alerts from being removed.

Click OK.
