Examining Picture File Formats


The following table lists the default graphic formats available in PowerPoint. If the graphic format you need is not in the list, you can use Office Setup's maintenance feature to install additional graphic formatssuch as Macintosh Graphics (PICT), Encapsulated Postscript (EPS), or WordPerfect Graphics (WPG)using the Add or Remove Features option. See "Diagnosing and Repairing Problems" on page 28 for more information on using the maintenance feature.

Device Independent Bitmap

Slide as a graphic; colors are represented in a format independent of the output

Windows Metafile

Slide as a 16-bit graphic (Windows 3.x and later)

Enhanced Windows Metafile

.emf

Slide as a 32-bit graphic (Windows 95 and later)
