Dr. Sandra K. Johnson is a senior technical staff member with more than 16 years of experience. She has worked in several areas including workload characterization and the performance analysis of cache coherence protocols, memory subsystems, parallel I/O subsystems, Java servers, and Linux. She was the Linux Performance Architect in the IBM Linux Technology Center, and is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Global Small and Medium Businesses for IBM's Systems and Technology Group. Gerrit Huizenga is a software engineer and architect for Linux Base Technologies in IBM's Linux Technology Center in Beaverton, Oregon. Gerrit has been architecting, designing, and implementing operating system capabilities with a focus on performance, scalability, standards, and security for 20 years. Prior to his work at the IBM Linux Technology Center, Gerrit was the Chief Technologist for Operating Systems at Sequent Computer Systems, Inc. Badari Pulavarty is a senior engineer at IBM in Beaverton, Oregon. Badari has 15 years of experience developing UNIX operating systems. His main interests are Linux performance issues on VM, I/O, file systems, and storage subsystems. |
