Share your talent with others


Every time I raise this issue, the sceptics are quick to pounce on it, usually saying that this could never happen in their organisation due to confidentiality issues and so on. Well, once again, those that refuse out- right to consider new ways of working are going to lose out. And they are going to lose out even further as the lifestyle/workstyle revolution reaches maturity. If we are not able to use the services of excellent people on a part-time basis we may not get them at all. Equally - as with interim managers - we might not need them all the time either. And we as businesses will be involved with so many joint- ventures and alliances that it will become natural to share experts between ourselves .

Indeed, a lot of alliances and joint-ventures are already predicated on the grounds of the partners sharing access to each others' technologies, which really means the ˜ brains ' that have built it.

So learn to share, because it is yet another factor in the new age.
