Inserting the Date and Time

Adding a Date and Time stamp to your documents allows you to print the information with the document each time it is revised or published. Various formats are offered to help you customize your document to the exact format you want. You can use just the date, just the time, or a combination of both. If you want the date and time to automatically update when you open the document, you can turn on the Update Automatically option. If you are working with mulitple languages, you can insert the date and time in another language.

Insert the Date or Time

Click the Insert menu, and then click Date And Time.

Select the Update Automatically check box.

Double-click the date and time format you want.

Did You Know?

You can use the current date and time as the default setting . Click the Default button in the Date And Time Dialog box, and then click Yes.
