Getting Documents from the Web

File Transfer Protocol ( FTP ) is an inexpensive and efficient way to transfer files between your computer and others on the Internet. You can download or receive from another computer any kind of file, including text, graphics, sound, and video files. To download a file, you need an ID and password to identify who you are. Anonymous FTP sites are open to anyone ; they usually use anonymous as an ID and your full e-mail address as a password. You can also save the FTP site address to revisit the site later.
