Setting Program Access and Defaults

You can use Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel to choose default programs for common tasks , such as Web browsing or sending e-mail and instant messages, and to specify which programs are accessible from the Start menu, desktop, and other locations.

Set Program Access and Defaults

Click the Start button, point to All Programs, and then click Set Program Access And Defaults.

Click the Details button, if necessary, to display option details.

To set Microsoft programs as the default, click the Microsoft Windows option.

To set non-Microsoft programs as the default, click the non-Microsoft option.

To set a mix of Microsoft and Non-Microsoft programs as the defaults, click the Custom option, and then click the specific options you want.

When you're done, click OK.
