Importing and Exporting Information

Outlook Express can import the address book, mail messages, and account settings from many of the most popular e-mail programs. You can also export your messages or Address Book information from Outlook Express to work with other programs.

Import an Address Book

Click the File menu, point to Import, and then click Other Address Book.

Click an import file type.

Click Import.

Follow the additional instructions, and then click OK.

Click Close.

Export Your Address Book to a Text File

Click the File menu, point to Export, and then click Address Book.

Click an export file type.

Click Export.

Type a file name , and then click Next.

Select the fields for exporting.

Click Finish.

Click OK, and then click Close.

Did You Know?

You can import mail messages from another e-mail program . Click the File menu, point to Import, and then click Messages. Select the e-mail program, and then follow the wizard instructions to import the e-mail messages.
