Formatting Text

Although PowerPoint's templates provide preformatted styles for text objects, you can change the formatting or add extra emphasis to a word or text object. The four most basic formats you can apply to text are bold, italic, underline, and shadow. Each has its own button on the Formatting toolbar. You can format a single letter, a word, a phrase, or all the text in a text object. You can also align text to make it stand out.
