You can add dates, numbering, and header and footer text to your notes pages just as you do to your slides. If you have removed objects from the master and decide you want to restore them, you can reapply any of the master placeholders (the slide image, the date, header, and so on) without affecting objects and text outside the placeholders. Moreover, if you delete the slide placeholder or text placeholder from a notes page, for example, you can easily reinsert it. Add a Header and Footer to Notes Pages -
| Click the View menu, and then click Header And Footer. | -

| Add the header and footer information you want. | -

| Click the View menu, point to Master, and then click Notes Master. | -
| Click the Notes Master Layout button on the Notes Master View toolbar. | -
| Select the check boxes corresponding to the placeholders you want to reinsert. | -

| In Notes Page view, switch to the slide whose placeholders you want to restore. | -
| Click the Format menu, and then click Notes Layout. | -
| Select the check boxes corresponding to the placeholders you want to reapply. | -

| In Notes Page view, right-click a blank area in the slide. | -
| Click Notes Background to open the Notes Background dialog box. | -
| Click the Background Fill list arrow, and then select a background color (a lighter color will allow you to read your notes easier). | -
| Click Apply to change the selected notes page, or Apply to All to change the background of all notes pages. | |
