Using Data Analysis Tools

Excel provides a collection of statistical functions and macros to analyze data in the Analysis ToolPak . The Analysis Toolpak is an add-in program, which may need to be loaded using the Add-In command on the Tools menu. The tools can be used for a variety of scientific and engineering purposes and for general statistical analysis. You provide the data, and the tools use the appropriate functions to determine the result. To use these tools effectively, you need to be familiar with the area of statistics or engineering that you want to develop an analysis for. You can view a list of all the tools in the Data Analysis dialog box. For additional information about each tool, see the online Help.
