You can change the orientation of a drawing object by rotating or flipping it. For example, if you want to create a mirror image of your object, you can flip it. To turn an object on its side, you can rotate it 90 degrees. Rotating and flipping tools work with drawing and text objects. Excel provides several different ways to rotate an object. You can use the rotate commands on the Drawing menu, the green rotate handle at the top of an AutoShape object, or the Format AutoShape dialog box to rotate an object. However, you can not rotate or flip chart objects. Rotate an Object to Any Angle
