| You can insert sounds or motion clips into a workbook by accessing them using the Clip Gallery. A motion clip is an animated picture ”also known as an animated GIF ”frequently used in Web pages. To play a motion clip, you need to view your workbook or worksheet as a Web page. When you insert a sound, a small icon appears representing the sound file. To play sounds other than your computer's internal sounds, you need a sound card and speakers . You can also insert images from a Twain-compatible scanner or digital camera. To insert an image, you need to connect the scanner or digital camera to your computer and install the Twain device software. Insert a Clip Gallery Sound or Motion Clip -
 | Click the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then click Clip Art. | -
 | Click the Results Should Be list arrow, and then make sure the Movies and/or Sounds check boxes are selected. | -

 To play a sound, double-click the sound icon. To play a motion clip, save your workbook or worksheet as a Web page, and then view it in a Web browser. -
