Adding Lines and Rectangles

You can make forms and reports that contain a lot of information easier to read by adding lines between sections or by adding rectangles around groups of controls. Lines and rectangles help organize the information so that reports are easier to read and forms are easier to fill out.

Add a Line to a Form or Report

Display the form or report in Design view.

Click the Line button on the Toolbox.

Sizing handles appear.

To adjust the line length or angle, drag a sizing handle left, right, up, or down.

Click the Rectangle button on the Toolbox.

Sizing handles appear at each corner and on each side of the border.

Did You Know?

You can adjust the position of the line or rectangle . Position the pointer over the line or rectangle (not a sizing handle), and then drag the line or rectangle to the new position.
