Acknowledgments
Inevitably, it ends up like the Oscars. Someone s going to wear too little. Someone s going to cry. And someone, perhaps everyone, will have a mile-long list of people to thank, with nods to producers, actors, neighboring musicians, dead musicians, soon-to-be musicians, and moms (not to mention the requisite Shout-out to my peeps in Milwaukee you da best! ).
But it has to be this way. Too much from too many people has gone into this book for us to simply thank God and be played off the stage with the theme from our summer blockbuster. Indeed, much goes on behind the scenes. We will try our best here to acknowledge as many people as we can, in no definite order.
