Summary

The Collections package provides a broad suite of functionality associated with managing relationships between objects. While many introductions to object-oriented development focus on the design of objects and the class hierarchy, the proper use of relationships to bind objects together is as, if not more, important.

What user interfaces are best used to present the various collection types to users? How are these interfaces impacted by the size of the collection? Is this easier or harder in Swing or HTML?

Consider applications that you have written using the collection types built in to Java. How hard would it be to add more control to the various collections using the Commons Collections package?
