You’ve already seen how to schedule a package using the SQL Agent. That leaves one other option that you can use-the Windows Task Scheduler. This is your only option (unless you buy a third-party product) if you plan to run SSIS on a server without a SQL Server instance. We won’t walk you through using the Task Scheduler, because we imagine you’ve used it before. Just remember that you’ll be using the DTExec.exe utility rather than the DTExecUI.exe utility you used earlier because you’ll be using the tool for unattended execution.
