In previous versions of Dreamweaver, secure FTP was accomplished with the installation of a Microsoft add-on called PuTTY. Dreamweaver MX 2004, however, now includes secure FTP connectivity using the OpenSSH protocol. Because SFTP is now an integral part of Dreamweaver, you can create secure connections when setting up a site by simply checking the SFTP box in the Site Definition dialog box (shown in Figure 4.20).
