For documents to be validated , they must contain the proper DOCTYPE declaration. Check your document. Checking the Transfer Log I'm having transfer problems. What's going on? Whether you're getting/ putting or checking in/out, Dreamweaver logs every FTP transaction between the local and remote sites. This log can help you track down transfer problems. To display the FTP log, select View, Site FTP Log from the Files panel or click the View Site FTP Log button from the site window. On the Mac, the Site FTP Log is under the Site menu. The log lists any error messages received in the Results panel. Site Report Visibility I'm trying to use the Site Report features, but the display is limited. How can I get to the complete report? One of the limitations of the Site Report is the size of the panel on the screen. Unless you manually adjust the panels to take up more than the default screen real estate, some of the report explanations are truncated. Use the More Info option to read the complete text of the problem, or pull up relevant details in the Reference panel. Validating External Links I need to validate links to other sites. Can Dreamweaver help me do that? Dreamweaver does not validate external links. The Check Links report will, however, provide you with a list of external links. You can then go down the list and manually check each one. |
